Hairstyles for a formal dance?

Hi. I have a winter formal coming up and I was wondering if you could help me with some hair styles. I have medium length hair. I am going to want to leaves about half of it down (straight), so it covers my back. Do you have any hairstyles that might work? Thank you very much :]

I think it looks nice to keep the hair simple. Play up your dress and make sure your makeup is just right. Leave your hair the way you said: half up, half down. I don't think you need to make it over dramatic.
